6 More Weeks of Winter! Ugh.

I feel like I have finally started to find a rhythm in this pandemic. Getting myself into the studio every morning during the weekday, while my older kids are on school and my preschooler is physically at preschool. I’ve set a goal for myself in 2021 to create a body of smaller work, (12X16), that is fast, fun and experimental. In addition to this, I’m also working on larger pieces that are more time consuming and intricate. I’m hoping that these smaller pieces help me to explore more within my work, playing with color and shapes in the backgrounds. I sometimes have a hard time letting loose and really taking risks.

The cold is finally hitting hard here in Minneapolis and as I write this, the temp is 0. I’m grateful that we have had a mild winter, its made the pandemic more easy to navigate. Looking forward to Spring, and the possibility of hosting art crawls in 2021.

Cheers,
